Stephanie Amell, mage of the Tower in Ferelden, had the luck (good or bad, she's not entirely certain on that account) to end up recruited to the Grey Wardens just as the last Blight began.

She didn't intend to end up the Hero of Ferelden, really she didn't. But there was the battle, and then only she and Alistair were left, and there was a Blight and a traitor to the crown and... and...

Well, it's all rather a lot for one 17-year-old to handle. At least she's got her friends.
